UTC Aerospace Systems is one of the world’s largest suppliers of technologically advanced aerospace and defense products.Their lobby area needed just the right touch aesthetics, which would add colour and suit the muted elegance of the place.		THE DESIGN "Flights of fantasy" was designed as a ceiling installation for the UTC Aerospace Systems lobby. The inspiration behind the installation is - flight. Here the co existence of nature and technology is showcased by the paths taken by the flying birds which eventually evolve to aircrafts. The backdrop used is the sky and the birds are mounted on a complex web of wires denoting the complex web of flight paths. The colours used for the birds are shades of blue, which not only is the corporate colour but also creates a stunning contrast to the chequered black and white ceiling in addition to giving a sense of lightness . The seeming complexity in the design and the touch of colour helps to soften the severity of the black and white interiors and creates a sense of movement and dynamism to the space.
