Founded in 1938, the L & T is an Indian multinational conglomerate headquartered in Mumbai, Maharashtra with business interests in engineering, construction, manufacturing goods, information technology and financial services. | THE DESIGN The mural depicts the various approaches to training, its necessity, effectiveness and finally its achievement! The left frame depicts the initiation into training. The people-climbing steps are a metaphor for entry into training and gradual growth of trainees. The individuals within an enclosed space at the bottom depict the ”one to one” approach and personal attention given at the training center. The pieces depicting the computer, time, single target and gear wheels convey the different fields of training. The birds taking flight at the top convey the excitement created in an individual through the awakening of potential and possibilities. The frame to the right shows the next level where through the amalgamation of the various types of training and the channelizing of the individual's effort, a team player is born and one who becomes an indispensible part of the whole. The growth of the sapling into a firm bush shown at the bottom of the frame conveys the message that a well-trained individual once rooted into a company's ethics and value will only add to the growth of the company. The birds breaking free at the top depicts the breaking of barriers and the rise of such an enriched individual into a global player! The central panel is symbolic of how an individual who undergoes intensive training imbibes values, absorbs intricate details, reaches higher and higher spreading the essence of his knowledge all around. |
