| The Manipal Education Group, with its heritage of excellence in higher education for over 60 years, launched Manipal University Jaipur (MUJ) in 2011. The permanent campus of the university is set up on122 acres of land near Jaipur in Rajasthan, India. To create an art installation befitting the heritage of the state of rajasthan and the architecture style of the campus. | THE DESIGN Rajasthan translates into the "land of royalty" and is known for it's vibrant exuberance. The inspiration for the artwork was rightfully dictated by the region's rich cultural heritage.The beautiful peacock is found in abundance in Rajasthan and has been very much part of all art and culture through out the states history. A stunning and celebratory –visualization of a dancing peacock is a meaphor for flamboyance with gracefulnes of the land and its people. Peacock also personifies dignity and vitality which is in line with the core values of the Manipal University. The artwork adds beauty and meaning to the space effortlessly ,like a peacock itself captivating and bringing joy with its it's every nuance and move. The mural extrudes glory,vision and awakening in the abstract. |
